I will try to implement AppImage plugin for Gnome Software.

I think it would be incredibly useful for developers willing to help with development of appimage tools to properly package and distribute libappimage among distros ( https://pkgs.org/search/?q=libappimage ).

There are only two packages for now. The one for arch and one (very old) for debian.

Lack of libappimage which could be marked as a dependency can be obstacle for packaging in case of some distributions.

BTW I have also found ticket AppImage backend in KDE discovery bug tracker.

But there is no feedback from developers.
