I’ve been building AppImages for years now, first time I encountered this one. The 3.6.5 image found here was built on Ubuntu 20.04. It works great in PCLinux OS with all updates. My Fedora 40 VM refuses to let it appear. I get the initial fresh start message about config file missing because it has to create it then nothing. Text editor does not appear. Seems to be a lot of disk activity going on, but nada. -C will kill it.
Just curious to see if anyone has encountered this? I’m not going to put effort into fixing it. 40 has been abandoned by Fedora developers. I need to spin up a 43 VM and see if problem persists. I don’t think it is a Fuse issue because it did I/O looking for the editor config file.
Will circle back once I have a 43 world to test in.
