Correct way to use daemon

Hi, I have a Zorin 16.1 (Ubuntu 20.04). Now I heard about the daemon that will detect and add the appimage in search menu and everything but how to use it ?
Do I need the launcher as well or just the daemon. PS: I tried getting the daemon only but didn’t work so I don’t know if I did anything wrong or anything.
Just to be clear: I am not a developer but just a user and wish that my Appimages get added from ~/Downloads folder

Also, I have checked the pinned post and the link to the github page did not help. (Too many options under Tag 13), don’t know what to do

The daemon from the pinned post you’re referring to is deprecated. On the other hand, what I linked is still experimental, but I believe it should work fine for you.
