Hello dear colleagues,

I couldn’t find a specific topic here at [https://discourse.appimage.org](https://discourse.appimage.org) bringing together all Linux distributions where the programs in AppImage format have already been tested.

I propose to start this topic, where each one will be able to inform the Linux distribution, containing the name, version and information if it worked or not, as well as names of the programs in “.AppImage” format that worked.

Distribution: antiX Linux 16.3 x64 full
Programs tested and that worked: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage, Opera-x86\_64.AppImage and LibreOffice-still.standard-x86\_64.AppImage

Distribution: antiX Linux 17.4.1 x64-full.iso
Programs tested and that worked: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage and LibreOffice-still.standard-x86\_64.AppImage

Distribution: antiX Linux 19.2 x64 full
Programs tested and that worked: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage, Opera-x86\_64.AppImage and LibreOffice-still.standard-x86\_64.AppImage

Distribution: Slax 9.11.0 64 bits
Programs tested and that worked: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage and LibreOffice-still.standard-x86\_64.AppImage

Distribution: SliTaz
Tested program that didn’t work: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage \*\*

More details about the test at the link:

Distribution: Tiny Core Linux (Tiny Core Plus 11.1 32 bit):
Tested program that didn’t work: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage \*\*

AppImage, Opera-x86\_64.AppImage e LibreOffice-still.standard-x86\_64.AppImage

Distribuição: antiX Linux 17.4.1 x64-full.iso
Programas testados e que funcionaram: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage e LibreOffice-still.standard-x86\_64.AppImage

Distribuição: antiX Linux 19.2 x64 full
Programas testados e que funcionaram: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage, Opera-x86\_64.AppImage e LibreOffice-still.standard-x86\_64.AppImage

Distribuição: Slax 9.11.0 64 bits
Programas testados e que funcionaram: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage e LibreOffice-still.standard-x86\_64.AppImage

Distribuição: SliTaz
Programa testado e que não funcionou: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage\*\*

> probono, Thank you for responding. I apologize for the delay, I am having to do several tests, including installing programs (packages) in the SliTaz distro and antiX without access to the internet, video and audio and other basic programs that are necessary for any user. Before applying the commands, in graphical mode, I made the following changes to the permissions on the file ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage, right-click, Properties, Permissions tab, changes in Access contr…

Distribuição: Tiny Core Linux (Tiny Core Plus 11.1 32 bits):
Programa testado e que não funcionou: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage\*\*

Hello, please test on a mainstream distribution, e.g., Ubuntu LTS. Does it work there?

Hello Probono, how are you?

Ubuntu LTS, like other Linux distributions, unfortunately requires a lot of processing and a lot of RAM, we need Linux operating systems that consume little processing and little RAM.

Continuing the tests

Distribution: Void Linux 5.3.9\_1 x86\_64 (void-live-x86\_64-20191109.iso)
Tested program that didn’t work: ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage

$ chmod a + x ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage

$ ./ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage
[5267: 5267: 0801 / 215832.895781: ERROR: zygote\_host\_impl\_linux.cc (89)] Running as root without --no-sandbox is not supported. See [https://crbug.com/638180](https://crbug.com/638180).

It would be interesting for more colleagues to contribute information from other Linux distributions.

AppImage

$ chmod a+x ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage

$ ./ungoogled-chromium\_71.0.3578.98-2\_linux.AppImage
[5267:5267:0801/215832.895781:ERROR:zygote\_host\_impl\_linux.cc(89)] Running as root without --no-sandbox is not supported. See [https://crbug.com/638180](https://crbug.com/638180).

Seria interessante que mais colegas contribuíssem com informações de outras distribuições Linux.
